The Things I Choose To Love In This World

A lover’s soul lives in the body of his mistress.
Love thou, and if thy love be deep as mine, thou wilt not laugh at poets.

Where shall the lover rest?
Alas! They had been friends in youth, but whispering tongues can poison truth.
What is life, when wanting love?
How wise are they that are but fools in love!

Friendship is constant in all other things.
As Old Time makes these decay, so his flames must waste away.
